Streamlinevents was in Paris recently and discovered some uniquely interesting activities for groups and incentive trips traveling to this iconic city.
This time around we spent time at the Mandarin Oriental, the Westin, Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel and Hôtel de Crillon – a Rosewood property. All of these hotels have something to offer for groups and meetings. Each is in a convenient location and has been recently renovated. All have wonderful food offerings.
When it came to activities we participated in the School of Jewelry Art at Van Cleef & Arpel’s offices, tried out a hat customization workshop at Le Club Bateaux Mouches, and took a river dinner cruise on Ducasse sur Seine. While all of these experiences made us feel like we were part of the city’s fabric, one stood out above the rest: the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Hippodrome ParisLongchamp.
We would bill this as the entertainment highlight of the week. It is France’s most famous horse race. We traveled to the race in vintage buses, which were aesthetically gorgeous, although less comfortable than modern day transportation. Once there, we climbed to the top of the seating area, overlooking the entire track with a distant view of the Eiffel Tower.
The view was amazing, but we don’t recommend sitting here for the entire day of races. Head down to the hospitality tent located right next to the track just before the finish line. We viewed a majority of the races from there — what an experience!
